Walter Stuber
Biography
Before founding his own law firm, he worked for a few years in the renowned law firm, Pinheiro Neto, where he was a partner, in the beginning of his career, did an internship in International Financial Operations in an English law firm located in Londo, Linklaters.
Brazilian, Bachelor Degree in Law by the Universidade de São Paulo Law School in 1972, lawyer with more than 40 years of experience. Business Administration by the Universidade Mackenzie (1974). Specialist in Commercial Law by the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1975) and in Business Law by the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1976).
Between 1992 and 2002, he taught the courses of master’s degree and doctorate of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, at the invitation of Professor Celso Ribeiro Bastos, in the subject of the Law of International Economic Relations – DREI I and II.
He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association – São Paulo Chapter (OAB/SP), the Association of Lawers of the State of São Paulo (AASP) and the Regional Council of Administration (CRA) – Sao Paulo.
Professional Activities
He has held several leadership positions in the International Law Section (SIL) of the American Bar Association (ABA), headquartered in Chicago, USA. UU., having been President (Co-Chair), of the International Financial Products and Services Committee and of the International Securities and Capital Markets Committee, Country Representatives' Delegate of the Membership Committee and Deputy to the Programs Officer.
As recognition of his work, he received from the American Bar Association in 2017 the Outstanding Volunteer Award.
Author of hundreds of articles published in prestigious periodicals and legal magazines and national and international electronic bulletins and also lecturer in seminars, conferences and congresses, both in Brazil and abroad, on topics related to his areas of specialization.
Pioneering in project finance in Brazil, having published the book "Financiamento de Projetos no Brasil e a Lei de Concessões“ [Project Finance in Brazil and the Concessions Law] by Editora Max Limonad in 1996.
As a result of her experience, she is very didactic in the presentation of information to the client. She has the capacity of detailed critical and global analysis of legal issues.
